Microsoft has recently announced that they're abandoning Mixer which has been a rival to Twitch for many years.

Mixer recently tweeted this mentioning about Microsoft's new partner Facebook Gaming. They will be bidding farewell to all the people who are connected to them after the 22nd of July. It provided platforms for millions of people to show and follow their passion for career building. The technology used in Mixer will be used by Microsoft for its own service i.e. Microsoft Teams.

As the platform is on the verge of ceasing, two of the biggest streamers of mixer Ninja, and Shroud have been offered a chance to move towards Facebook Gaming. Reports from the different sources claim that they were paid millions of dollars due to the inopportune closing of the platform. They have been provided with open doors for returning to Twitch.

Many streamers were sad and upset over the Mixer shutdown. They burst down in tears saying it's hard to say goodbye to a platform that changed their lives. Facebook Gaming is offering $2,500 for one-time sign up to the streamers but the Mixer streamers are concerned over their and viewer's privacy. Claiming that Facebook Gaming Interface is nowhere near good-looking as Mixers, they also want to keep their privacy barrier and viewer's anonymity, which they stated will be gone.

Microsoft has intended to use their technology in Microsoft teams to build a low-latency interactive platform. As many streamers have to make a decision for a streaming platform, Twitch has certainly gained a big 'W' having no competitors as of now. It's all down to Facebook Gaming whether they can make a stand against the giants or not.
